Jason Lanzar-Rivera - "Daniel"

Jason Lanzar Rivera, also known as “Big Bizness” was born October 26, 1982 to a Puerto Rican mother & African American father that he never had the opportunity to meet. Born in Beth Israel Hospital he soon came home to what would be his stomping ground for the next 13 years…The Lower East Side of Manhattan. Unfortunately Mr. Rivera found nothing but trouble while living here. The projects of L.E.S proved to be way too influential & fundamentally detrimental to his growth so his mother Miriam Rivera moved him to Staten Island NY. There on Staten Island during his freshman year at Port Richmond HS is where Jason found his talent as a writer. Putting words down on paper just seem to be second nature; so his obsession for trouble quickly became a passion for the written & Spoken-Word. While in HS Jason’s talent quickly became evident as he would frequent the NuyoRican Poetry Café which ironically is in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Writing became a therapeutic outlet for the boy who was once considered troubled. As he grew older he developed his skills and expanded his writing and performing from poetry to Screen Plays and Acting. In a short period of time Jason Rivera has been in a number of film projects in which to add to his Resume, including 2009 HBO International Latino Film Festival’s “King of Paper Chasin”, independent film “I Breathe This”, Lead role in the biopic “Brooklyn Gangster- The Jose Lucas Story”, Lead role in the play “21” loosely based on the life of Roberto Clemente, a supporting role in the television pilot “BKLYN RAIN” and Voiceovers for “Teen Mind Space”. Through his many talents, Jason has exhibited hard work and passion for the art of entertainment. We have only begun to see the greatness that is Mr. Rivera, and in time he will prove to be a “force to be reckoned with” in the Film and TV industry. In addition to his acting career, Jason is a part of a poetry super group named;UNTAMED TALENT and has also joined the ranks with a number of musical artists, and understands that this is only the beginning of what will be an inspirational life & career. Be on the lookout for this Rising Star who believes that……”Representing an Idea of what you can become is more important than where you begin.”
